CYBERSEC 2021 Call for Speaker

Introduction

Organized by iThome, CYBERSEC, is the largest annual cybersecurity event in Taiwan. Since 2015, we have been gradually becoming the dominant platform for international exchange on cybersecurity. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has been ravaging the world. Fortunately, Taiwan has been doing an excellent job on preventing the spread of the pandemic domestically. As a result, the organization of CYBERSEC has been able to proceed safely, becoming one of only two cybersecurity conferences to have been physically held in the world along with the RSA Conference this year. With the participation of 250 cybersecurity companies, CYBERSEC had nearly 10,000 registered attendees.
Furthermore, President Tsai-Ing Wen along with chief executives involved in cybersecurity all shared a stage to express the government’s determination to develop the industry and its great support for CYBERSEC.

Over the last six years, we have been consistently growing and expanding our impact. With the pandemic this year, international conditions have only become increasingly unpredictable, leading to even more invisible digital attacks and an even greater urgency to improve defenses. We deeply believe that persistence is power and CYBERSEC is ready. From May 4th to 6th in 2021, CYBERSEC 2021 will be held in Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2.

You are welcome to join us in moving steadily forward together. To build a better and safer world, there are no miracle solutions. Persistence is the only way.

Call for Speakers from now until December 20, 2020.

There is no boundaries limitation for knowledge exchange. We expect every breakthrough and possibility. If you are able to share the latest in cybersecurity research, best practices, models of security analyses, cyberattack techniques, security vulnerabilities, cybersecurity management techniques, and/or any other interesting practical experience, you are eligible for submission.

Session subjects we call for are NOT LIMITED to above. We welcome various issues of cybersecurity. You are free to share the latest technique findings in your field in CYBERSEC.

No Sales Pitch ! If you would like to be a speaker in a sponsored session, please let us know, and we will contact you right away.
Enlighten people for Action. Fully share your knowledge to the audience and bring them up. Your personal experiences, practices and unique opinion could influence people.

Eligibility for Submission

We particularly welcome the speech with advanced skills.
If you are able to share the latest cybersecurity research, latest cyberattack techniques and strategy, enterprise experience in cybersecurity management, or any other unrevealed information, you are eligible for submission.

Background of the Audience

CYBERSEC attendees consist of cybersecurity related staff members, IT personnel and directors, and R & D engineers from industry, government, and academia.

Regulation

Originality is a high priority. Audiences would like to know more about your personal experiences, practices, and opinions.
Connect with the audience so that they may sense your passion and motivation naturally.
Please elaborate on the content of your submission in the form.
Make sure audiences recognize the need and value of your speech.
The event may use your photos, profiles and session introduction in promotional activities.
The event organizers reserve the right to adjust the agenda and time slots at any time.
You must have all legal rights for the content of your speech.
The event organizers will ask for your permission to make your video and slides public.
The content of your speech must not infringe on the intellectual property and privacy rights of others.
Please be sure to complete your submission on time. Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted.
Please provide your slides at least one week before the event. Marketing or advertisements of your organization or other financial interests will not be allowed during your speech. If you would like to be a speaker in a sponsored session, please let us know, and we will contact you right away.
Due to travel restrictions during the period of COVID-19 pandemic, foreign submitters who are approved to be the speakers and unable to come to Taiwan could provide the video presentation for instead. Considering the accuracy of the language and the acceptance of the audience, it is recommended that the video should be subtitled (Both Chinese and English are accepted).

Speaker Benefits

For foreign speakers, each approved submission will come with travel expense reimbursements up to USD. 1,000 per slot (tax included). Domestic speakers will be entitled to receive NTD. 6,000 per slot (tax included) for each approved submission. Foreign speakers who provide the video session will be entitled to receive USD. 200 per slot (tax included) for each approved submission.
The event organizers will ask for your permission to make your video and slides public.
If your submission was approved, the speaker room will be made available for you. Breakfast, lunch, and water will be provided to you there.
